Artificial intelligence (AI) is redefining how energy is planned, managed and marketed. The ITG technology centrewill be exploring this on 19 November in A Coruña, at the 2nd Brain2Power Forum: Artificial Intelligence for the Energy System of the Future. The event will bring together stakeholders from the energy sector to discuss how AI and data can help build a more renewable system, without compromising on reliability, thanks to increasingly intelligent, connected and efficient management.
The event combines presentations and panel discussions on renewable energy, self-consumption, energy communities and smart grids. In addition, a specific session will be devoted to data spaces – an emerging model for the secure sharing of data in digitalisation processes – addressing their opportunities, challenges and applications in various fields.
The forum will also serve to showcase the latest developments in Brain2Power, an initiative in which ITG is collaborating with the Canary Islands Oceanic Platform (PLOCAN) and the company Regenera to develop AI-based tools for the planning and management of Virtual Power Plants (VPPs) and local energy markets.
In addition, we will be presenting the comprehensive management platform for Rural Energy Communities, designed as part of the Aldealix project. This tool enables the energy, economic and social optimisation of biomass-fuelled heating networks developed in Galicia and northern Portugal. Mid-morning, there will also be time for coffee and conversation, with the aim of facilitating the exchange of experiences and viewpoints amongst those attending.
